CYBER SECURITY EVENTS BEGIN WITH FORUM ON SAFE SURFING  

 

 As part of Cyber Security Awareness Month, UMR IT and the ACM SIG Security Group, a student organization, are hosting an open forum on anti-virus protection and safe web surfing techniques at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, in Room 125 of the Civil Engineering Building. The event is free and open to the public. 

  

  During the month of October, UMR IT will send out public service announcements regarding information security and how you can protect yourself from hackers. UMR IT will also be giving out free prizes each week, starting Oct. 10. Stay tuned to see how you can win a free USB jump drive with encryption software, a copy of professional anti-spyware software, or a laptop security device.
