The increasing ubiquity of computer networks has led to
interesting and diverse research in applications of networking, and vice
versa. We will discuss a number of areas where this research has been
particularly fruitful, including sensor networks for environmental
monitoring and intelligent critical infrastructure systems.

Dr. Sahra Sedigh is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Research Investigator with the Intelligent Systems Center at the Missouri University of Science & Technology.

After the meeting, we’ll be having another Xbox360 event. Clint is bringing the Xbox’s back and we’ll be setting up for Gears of War 2 or Halo 3 – be sure to join us!

Afterwards, we played Gears of War 2 on the 4 Xbox 360’s he brought down. There were prizes ranging from a copy of Windows Vista to a copy of Gears of War 2 to Microsoft t-shirts. Clint also left us with some prizes for the next MinerLAN – thanks Clint!
