Spring 2010 ACM Career Fair Dinner

ACM once again hosting the Career Fair Dinner on Tuesday, February 9th at 7:00 PM. This year the dinner will be held at the Pizza Inn here is Rolla. We are going to meet at the CS building at 6:30 PM if you need a ride. Space is limited so make sure you reserve in advance. To reserve your spot please email Kyle Ensign. When emailing please make the subject of your email: ACM Career Fair Dinner.

MinerLAN
Registration for MinerLAN is now open. The registration fee is only $5 and $2.50 for ACM members. This year’s MinerLAN will features Warsaw, Starcraft, Armagetron and Trackmania Nations Forever. If your favorite game is not in the above list, don’t worry as we will assist in getting people together to play a match of your favorite game.

Applied Research in Networking – October 21
Join ACM this Wednesday as we host Dr. Sedigh as she gives a presentation on Applied Research in Networking.
The increasing ubiquity of computer networks has led to
interesting and diverse research in applications of networking, and vice
versa. We will discuss a number of areas where this research has been
particularly fruitful, including sensor networks for environmental
monitoring and intelligent critical infrastructure systems.
Dr. Sahra Sedigh is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Research Investigator with the Intelligent Systems Center at the Missouri University of Science & Technology.

Cerner – October 7
Join ACM this Wednesday as we host Amanda Mechlin of Cerner. She is the current Director of the Internal IT group at Cerner and the presentation will focus on several projects her team is currently working on. In addition she will be talking about some of the careers available at Cerner.
