Graphics on the Grass 2010
On Tuesday, August 24th, ACM will be hosting our annual event, Graphics on the Grass. Show up at 8pm to see graphics and various video games projected out on the side of the Computer Science building (yes this event is outside). This is a great way to socialize and meet new people. We will also be taking membership dues (Semester: $10, Year $18). For those who sign up for a year membership, we are giving you a FREE ACM T-SHIRT. PIZZA AND SODA will be served in addition to all of this.

ACM General Meeting – Boeing and Officer Elections
This week we are having our last ACM General Meeting of the year on Tuesday April 20th. ACM in welcoming Dwight Brandon, an employee of Boeing. Mr. Brandon is the Program Manager for F/A-18 Total Training Systems Program for Training Systems & Services (TSS), a division of the Global Systems & Services Business Unit of Boeing Defense Space and Security.
In addition to have Boeing come to talk about training and simulation, we will be holding OFFICER ELECTIONS after the talk. If you would like a chance of being an ACM officer for this next school year, come out to the meeting. It is important to note that ANYONE can be voted an officer but only members are allowed to vote. Because of this, we need as many paid ACM members as possible at this meeting.
So come out and join us at 7:00 in CS 209a for a presentation by Dwight Brandon. As usual, pizza and soda will be provided at the start of the meeting.
ACM-General Meeting
This week we are having a special ACM General Meeting on Thursday March 25th. ACM in welcoming Josh Wilkerson, a graduate student in the CS department. Josh will be talking about his research in evolutionary algorithms with an emphasis on genetic programming and coevolution.
So come out and join us at 7:00 in CS 209a for a presentation by Josh Wilkerson. We will also be having free pizza and soda. As an added bonus to the meeting, we will be doing a raffle for a gift card from A Slice of Pie.
Intelligent Transportation Systems
Be sure to come out this Tuesday, February 16th, to hear a speaker from MoDot. Kenneth Barnes is a Senior Information Systems Technologist who will present an assortment of topics:

- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- The Future of MoDOT Networking

Spring 2010 ACM Career Fair Dinner – Recap
Thanks to all that attended this year’s ACM Career Fair Dinner. I also want to thank TradeBot who sponsored the dinner. We were also able to raise $230 for the Make A Wish Foundation. Thanks to Lockheed Martin and General Electric Aviation for also attending. Below is the various pictures taken at the event.
Spring 2010 ACM Career Fair Dinner

ACM once again hosting the Career Fair Dinner on Tuesday, February 9th at 7:00 PM. This year the dinner will be held at the Pizza Inn here is Rolla. We are going to meet at the CS building at 6:30 PM if you need a ride. Space is limited so make sure you reserve in advance. To reserve your spot please email Kyle Ensign.
