GotG 2009 Recap

August 27th, 2009

Graphics on the Grass 2009

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make this year’s Graphics on the Grass into a great success. We hope you all had a great time. If you weren’t able to make it but still want to get involved in ACM, watch out for announcements here and around campus for our upcoming events this semester.

For those interested in learning more about the demos we showed, you can find more of them at http://pouet.net/ and learn more about the demoscene community at Wikipedia. The demos from GotG were Atrium, Nucleophile, Chaos Theory, and Stargazer.

Finally, thanks to Bryan Thompson for taking photos at this year’s event. You can view more of his pictures from GotG here.

Graphics on the Grass 2009

August 10th, 2009

ACM’s biggest annual recruiting event, Graphics on the Grass, will be happening on August 26th this year and will feature all the favorites of years past: graphics demos, video games, and free pizza. Don’t pass up this opportunity to hang out with outstanding members of both ACM and the CompSci department, as well as see two projectors displaying on the side of the CS Building. Meet up with us on the north side of the Computer Science building (near the flags) at 8:30 pm, when we’ll get things started with a few demos and put out the pizza. And don’t forget your due money. This will be your first chance to become an ACM member for this school year.
